A Speed Scrap with a Speed Sledder
I participated in my first ever speed scrap today over atNicole's forum and I have to tell you that it was a rush! This is how it works if you haven't heard of them (I hadn't)...
This one took 2 hours. In the first hour we were given an instruction every ten minutes. Then we had the second hour to complete our layout, load it to photobucket and then into the forum.
These were the instructions we were given every 10 minutes in the first hour...
- Open 4 papers (2 pattern and 2 solid)
- Open 1 picture and digitally enhance it somehow
- Add a circle (any kind)
- Add a cluster that includes at least 1 flower and/or leaf
- Add Ribbon and some kind of scrap-hesive (staples, paperclips, etc)
- Use Word Art somewhere
- Add at least 4 lines of journaling.
I finished my layout and posted it in the forum with just 1 minute left to go. I was really sweating it though. I thought for sure I was going to miss that deadline and as the seconds were counting down my kids and husband seemed to get louder and louder and my heart was pounding faster and faster. It was a rush and I can't wait for the next one!
I used pieces from a kit called Shout which you can get here.

What a great way to get your craft adrenalin rushing. Looks great!!!!

Wow, I'm impressed! I haven't done one of those speed scraps yet. But your layout is fantastic! That's Izzy, right? She looks like she is having an absolute blast.
BTW, love the photo of you and hubby up there in the corner. Ü
Great work, Wendy!
