Name: Kristal
Birthday: August
Current Location: Utah
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Dirty Blondish
Height: 5' 8"
Left or Right Handed: Righty all the way!
Heritage: About as caucasion as they come! A mix of many European countries. Luckily my daughters get to have some nice Latino blood from my hubby's side. He is Columbian.
Shoe You Wore Today: I didn't! I prefer barefoot and since I did not have to go anywhere today I didn't wear any!
Your Weakness: Just one? LOL. A few years ago I would have definitely have said cooking, but luckily my hubby has helped me out in that area since he is a great cook! So I would say confidence. I was painfully shy when I was younger and still struggle with it but feel like I am getting better and more outgoing.
Your Fear: Losing my family
Any Superstitions: Not really.
The Perfect Meal: Grilled Honey Chicken (my hubby's recipe), Potato Salad (our famous - and simple - recipe), White Rice, Coke and Peach Pie for dessert. Yum!
Drink of Choice: Coke
Do You Sing? Not really! I do sing with my daughters in the car but lucky for those around me not often when people can hear!
Do You Like Thuderstorms? Love them!
Do You Play An Instrument? Took piano as a kid, and one year of band in junior high. I played the clarinet.
# of CDs You Own: Way more than my hubby wishes I had! I can't seem to let them go even with iTunes! I probably have around 200 in the basement.
Favorite Movie: Ever After
What Are You Listening To Right Now? My daughter watch Rug RAts but 20 minutes ago we were all listening to Don Omar and dancing!
What Country Would You Like To Visit Most? Brazil. My husband lived there for two years and would love to go back and take me!
# of Piercings and/or Tattoos: Just 2. One in each ear.
Favorite Time Of Day: Late morning. After feeding the kids, they normally are pretty content and self contained and I get a little bit of scrapping time in. Most days anyway!
Who Was Your Teen Crush? Jonathon Brandis from Sea Quest. My brother had a friend that looked just like him! I was totally crushing on him (from a distance in the lunch room) and then one day I came home from school and he was at my house! Imagine my surprise!
How Long Have You Digi Scrapped and How Did You Get Started? I have digi scrapped now for about 2 years. I was reluctant to switcha dn still (at least in theory) paper scrap. Although it is really mostly just card making and projects with my kids. I had played around in PS a little bit to make a picture collage for my sisters of their trip to England (jealous!) and so then I found a book and a CD at a discount store about how to digiscrap for $3. I figured I had nothing to lose. I was hooked after that!
Favorite Kit from Wendy Tunison Designs? Just one?! Simplicity and Midterm I think would be my two favorites. Simplicity is just so diverse and elegant!
Midterm was the first of her kits that I ever worked with and I love the page I made. I did not even touch all the adorable school themed elements and cannot wait to use the kit again when I have some school pictures of my girls.
When Do You Scrap? Whenever I can! That is one thing I love about digi scrapping. With kids I rarely have a long period of uninterrupted time to scrap. But with digital scrapbooking I can work on my pages a little here and there. Nap time is my biggest span when I work but I also use time while making dinner and watching tv or movies.
Last Book You Read: Watched by Cindy M. Hogan. Hubby picked it up for me at Costco and even got the author to sign it!
3 of Your Favorite Layouts:
Joy using Wendy's Crystal Kit (wonderful name for the kit as well although she spelled it wrong...LOL).
Loving You using Simplicity and Simply Pink Add On by Wendy Tunison.
Little Lady using Ladybug by Amy's Designs
Favorite Recipe: Potato Salad. It is a simple but so good recipe. You just use potatos, mayo, boiled eggs, green onions and salt.
Tell Us About Your Family: I am married to a wonderful man who is perfect for me! We have two beautiful daughters. They are the subjects of 99% of my layouts so I am sure you have seen them around the galleries!
Do You Roller Skate? Nope but I do/did Roller Blade. I used to go out with my brother all the time but it has been years since I did.
Best Pizza Topping: Hawaiian all the way!!
Best High School Experience: Hmm...that one is hard. While I did enjoy high school (this nerd!) I was so shy that I missed out on a lot of things I wish I would have enjoyed. But one of the best experiences I had was a geology field trip to the Grand Canyon. It was very cool!
Best Part of the Past Year: The birth of my second daughter.
Favorite Teacher: Mr. Clark. High School Geology Teacher
Late Night Snack: Depends on what is in the house but somehting chocolate, kettle corn popcorn, or captain crunch!
Sports: I ran track in high school and played church basketball.
Favoriate Color to Wear: Green
What Program Do You Use to Scrap? Photoshop
Do You Start a Page With Photos or a Kit? Normally with a kit since most of my pages are inspired by CT requirements...
What's Your Favorite Kit of All? Hmm...that is hard. It is usually whatever kit I am currently working with! I love girly kits since I mostly scrap my girls. But I would have to say the Simplicity line that Wendy is doing. The newest one we have is Red and I am super excited to work with it. It is nice to have such a versatile and elegant kit that you can match to any color scheme with the add-ons!
How Many Hours Do You Scrap Each Week? I am scared to try to calculate it! It varies a lot depending on the week but I would say that I average about 5 layouts a week and most take me about an hour of true scrapping time (since most of my time comes in little segments).
Do You Do Any Other Crafts? In theory! Once upon a time I drew and I try to do little crafts every once in a while.
Share Your Favorite Photo: My favorite photo is a family one we just took last December. I used it on my layout for Will You Be Mine.
What's Your Job Title? Stay At Home Mother.
Guilty Pleasure? Scrapping Time! Sometimes I scrap to the neglect of my home, cleaning, dinner, etc!
Phobias? Spiders. Yuck!
Celebrity Crush: Luis Fonsi. he is a Puerto Rican singer whose music I got introduced to when I lived there for a year and a half.
Anything Else We Should Know About You? I have crazy unruly curly hair! But you can see that in my picture!

Love reading about you Kristal!!!! I'm so honored that one of your favorite layouts is from one of my kits!!
