Meeting Charles Schulz at a youth retreat. I was shy and timid and all the other kids were chatting with him while I hung back. One of the boys grabbed me and pulled me up to meet him. We chatted for a couple of minutes and he helped me see my dad who was a barber in a whole new light. I had been ashamed that after retiring from the military the only job he could get was as a barber. If Charles Schulz's dad was a barber and he didn't mind admitting it then it was all right that my dad was a barber also.

My best memories of being a teenager were performing in our clown troupe at my church! How many 15 year olds can juggle and make balloon animals? :)

One of my favorite memories from my teen years was my first date with my now husband. He took me to a banquet where Marvin Gaye was a guest speaker. I got the chance to meet and speak with him personally. Needless to say, they were both quite the gentlemen.

There are so many....I am going to pick my memories of choir in high school! I was so honored to be selected for the elite a cappella group in my freshman year. I love to sing and whenever I am down singing brings me back to a happy state of mind. We performed at many events but my favorite was to go to senior citizen homes - the smiles on their faces were priceless!

One of my favorite memories is of my dad taking me on a four-wheeling trip (our first and only) after a boy I really liked turned down my invitation to attend a school dance.

The one and only time I helped tp our principal's house with some guys from my class. And then the next day I helped clean it up with his daughter. We mailed some of the tp in care packages to the guys at college.

I grew up in St Petersburg, FL and some of my fondest memories are days and evenings spent at the beach with my friends. Especially memories of beautiful sunsets shared with good friends! Thanks so much for the chance to win this kit!
