February 7th is my and Andy's anniversary. We have been married for 14 years now. That's all fine and wonderful but on February 7, 2012, I got the very best anniversary present I could ever get. Of course, it wasn't from Andy, it was from my sister and her husband. Her name is Adelynn Grace and I already love her so much it hurts! I haven't met her yet but my sister did send me this one little photo of her from her hospital bed. You know I couldn't wait to scrapbook her beautiful little face! So here she is, my sweetest, newest niece...

Isn't she amazing? I can't wait to go and meet her as soon as possible! Congratulations Brenda and Zach! Thanks for the greatest anniversary gift ever. The only thing better would have been if she were my own! I guess I'll have to settle for yet another awesome niece to love forever! ;)
I hope you are all sitting back relaxing after pulling together another wonderful Christmas this year! I'm sure that about the time this posts, my kids will be coming in to wake us up so they can devour their gifts. LOL!
Today I got to hang out with some pretty cool people...Brace Face & Bieber Butt. It was a great day!
It all started when my sister got Izzy these Justin Bieber pajamas. Lexi spent the early morning torturing her by call her "Bieber Butt." Well, turnabout is fair play and when Lexi got her braces on this afternoon, I told Izzy she could call Lexi "Brace Face." She immediately smiled, jumped up on Lexi's lap and said, "Hey, Brace Face" with the biggest evil little sister grin ever. And then the giggling started.
Yep, I felt pretty blessed to be in their company.
Today, I stepped into the bathroom unsuspecting of anything. I reached past the shower curtain and turned on the water so I could take a shower. All of a sudden, my entire lower half is sprayed with cold water! That'll shock you! Apparently whoever was in the shower last left the shower handle in the bottom of the tub and left the shower handle turned on. Awesome!
So I pick up the shower handle and put it back in the holder and walk to the back of the tub to get in. I pull the curtain and step in...right on top of a round conditioner bottle! Talk about fearing for your life! I rolled backwards as I grabbed the shower curtain to balance me.
Do you think I dared even shave my legs?! I decided that this shower could hold no more mystery and danger so I gave it a whirl. Guess what happened as I was shaving my first leg. Oh yeah, someone small flushed the toilet and scalded my backside.
I think I'm going to sport the look of one leg shaved, one not. I wasn't taking any more chances today! ROFL!
Seven years ago I was having an especially bittersweet moment as I held you for the first time. I knew you were my last child and that made me a little sad because you were so perfect. I was also on an emotional high because I hadn't really even expected to have a third child at all, yet there you were in my arms. And I was so in love with you from the moment I knew I was pregnant with you. Of course, once I saw you, I realized just how much. You bring me so much joy and you are the best cuddle bug in the whole world. I am constantly amazed at the things that come out of your mouth. Just last night you were telling me how big Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's muscles were and the day before you were arguing with your sister about whether or not your dad was a woos. You are the most caring little girl and you will defend your family and friends with a crazy passion. You are full of kindness and funny and I love every single blonde curl on your head! I even love you when you come charging down the stairs at midnight shouting, "I'm seven! It's my birthday!" LOL! I love you so much! Happy Birthday, Bizo!
I had no idea what a joy motherhood would bring me until I had you. You, my first born, were a portal into a whole new world of being. I have always loved being your mom (yep, even when you're ignoring me on a 4 hour car trip) and I am so thrilled to see the young woman you are becoming. You are amazing and beautiful and smart and funny and creative and I am so very thankful to have you in my life. I love you so much and I hope you're going to make these teen years easy on both of us. Otherwise, I'll have to ship you out to Grandpa so that you can be grumpy together! LOL! Happy birthday, baby girl! Love you so much!
I was gone last week because my little sister got married on Thursday. We had a wonderful little campground wedding and then camped out over night. Had it not been for the rocks under my sleeping bag, it would have been dang near perfect! So now we have added Zach to our family and I wish them all the best. I'll share some photos later in another post. There are a lot to go through and I'm sure a lot to edit as well. LOL!
I do have some pics to show you of her little accident two days before the wedding. She was trying to get something out of the back of Zach's truck and got her foot caught between the truck and the load of wood that was back there. This sent her flipping backwards onto the driveway where she landed head first and messed up the rest of her body pretty good too!
The funny thing about it is that Zach rode in the rodeo the week before and got stepped on and beat up so they matched.
We tried to tell her it was supposed to be, "something borrowed, something blue," not "something borrowed, something bruised." LOL!
The day after the wedding we went to the rodeo where my little brother put in a 79 pt ride which won him first place at this week's competition! Go Mark!
Zach also rode at the rodeo that night but didn't quite make it. It was a good ride anyway!
We kinda took over the rodeo that night since Zach's brother and his girlfriend were both part of the dance competition (which I didn't tape because my battery died right in the middle of it but it was too funny) and my nephew, Luke, was the winner of the calf tail pulling too!
Before we went to West, Lexi and I went dress shopping and she insisted on buying this awesome little white dress. Of course, I didn't argue a bit when she said she wanted it because it's so hard to talk her into wearing a dress usually. She looked fabulous in it but it sure made me realize just how fast she's growing into a young woman.

Kaylee also snapped this picture of Lexi and I so I thought I'd scrap it too whilie I was at it. Love her smile in this one!

A long time back, I scrapped these pics of our friend, Tana, and the kit I used will be given away this month at Gotta Pixel as part of the daily download.

It's the first of the month so that means there's a new Build-A-Kit available at Stuff To Scrap which includes Scraps N' Pieces new kit Birds of Paradise (I can't even type that without getting the lyrics of the song in my head...you know...May the bird of paradise fly up your nose...LOL!).
Here's a look at all of the Build A Kit kits available this month.
I went a little crazy with this kit and created some summer chore charts for my kids as part of the hybrid challenge at STS last month.
I also made this layout as part of one of the Challenge of the Week challenges at STS. I love this picture of Kaylee's friend during one of her birthday parties. They decided to have a mud war and it was hilarious until they had to be hosed off.
And finally, I re-scrapped this photo of Lexi and Makalyn from a few years ago. I just really, really love this photo of them and wanted to reuse it.
Stuff To Scrap is also having a store-wide retirement sale this month to make room for new kits. Stop by and see what they've got because some things will even be 70% off!
Here is what Scraps N' Pieces is retiring this month...
And don't forget to check out this month's Grab Bag.
I also wanted to let you know that if you spend $10.00 or more at STS this month, you'll get the QPs from the August Collab for free!
And you can pick up the collab as well if you like.
And finally, I want to thank everyone who downloaded my Solitude kit and said thank you. This kit was downloaded 641 times. I could hardly believe it when I looked at the numbers! WOW! For the 38 people who left comments and said thanks, I sent them this little add-on as well.
It had 5 ellies and 5 alphas to coordinate with the kit. I hope they like it! If you missed out on the kit, you can now purchase it here. If you purchase it, you'll receive the full 181 pc kit plus the add-on papers and the thank you add-on as well.
A few exciting things happened when I released that kit. I had over 6,000 hits on my blog within 4 days and even more exciting for me was that I actually got to see some layouts people made with my kit! I've never ever seen a layout made with any of my kits before so imagine my thrill when I saw them in the gallery! So a special thank you to those ladies who completely made my day! I hope they don't mind my sharing their layouts here (images are linked so you can leave them some love if you'd like).
hichchei made this layout...
Andrea made this one...
Crystal made this one...
And Sheri made two!
Aren't they beautiful?! If you've made a layout or if you do in the future with any of my kits, I'd love to see them.
This daughter of mine makes me smile. I thought I'd share a few photos I took of her during spring break...
As the sun hit her perfectly freckled face, I caught a glimpse of glitter on her lips and had to keep that memory forever. She is always putting a little glitter on her lips and those freckles drive her crazy but I think they are perfectly wonderful.
She is wild and crazy and she is as athletic as they come. She can run with the boys and charm everyone around her.
I love this sequence of photos. They were plotting a way to run away from her sisters and his brother and at the last moment, someone teased him about whispering with a girl and then he saw me taking pictures...love how the photos played out...
Our dog loves to play fetch ... with anything! The bad thing is that once he decides what he wants to fetch, he sticks with it and there's no talking him out of it. The other day Andy was outside and Drake brought him this huge piece of wood...this is how it played out...
