Techniques Used in this Workshop:
Scissor Distressing
1. Open your scissors all the way.
2. Hold your paper of choice in one hand.
3. In the other hand, hold your scissors so that one sharp edge is toward the paper.
4. On the edge of the paper, scrape the scissors back and forth along the paper so the white is exposed, as desired.
Sandpaper Distressing
1. Rub your sandpaper along the cardstock in a vertical direction, as much or as little as desired.
2. Rub the sandpaper along the cardstock in a horizontal direction, as much or as little as desired.
Direct to Paper (DTP)
1. Drag the paper across the top of the stamp pad, as desired
2. Repeat on all sides of the paper.

12" x 12" Cherish Layout: Puzzle Junkie - Left

Assembly Instructions
Step One
Use the sandpaper distressing technique on the 8" x 8" Cocoa CS and the 1 1/8" x 2 7/8" Bamboo CS.
Step Two
Use the DTP technique with Cranberry ink on the 1 1/8" x 2 7/8" Bamboo CS. Stamp a title in Cranberry ink on the same CS.
Step Three
Use the DTP technique with Cocoa ink on the three ½" x ½" Polka Dot squares, on the 1" x 4 ¼" Polka Dot B&T paper, and on the small scalloped Fancy Cuts tag. Write a journaling item on the tag with the Black Exclusive Inks™ Marker.
Step Four
Adhere the two 2" x 12" Sweet Leaf B&T papers to the 12" x 12" White Daisy CS horizontally across the top and bottom portions of the layout, flush with edges.
Step Five
Adhere the 8" x 8" Cocoa CS to the left portion of the layout, directly between the two Sweet Leaf B&T papers and flush with the left edge. Adhere the 7" x 7" Cranberry Stripe B&T paper in the center of the Cocoa CS, with the stripes horizontal. Adhere the 6" x 6" photo in the center.
Step Six
Tie the 12" white grosgrain ribbon around the center of the 8" x 4" Polka Dot B&T paper. Tie in a knot to secure in front.
Step Seven
Adhere the 8" x 4" Polka Dot B&T paper to the right of the Cocoa photo mat, flush with the right edge. Adhere the two 3" x 3" photos to the B&T paper, one above and one below the ribbon, spaced evenly.
Step Eight
Adhere the 1" x 4 ¼" Polka Dot B&T paper to the upper left corner of the layout, about ¼" from the top edge, flush with the left edge. Adhere the 1 1/8" x 2 7/8" Bamboo CS over the Polka Dot B&T paper, staggered a little, about 1 ¼" from the left edge.
Step Nine
Attach one white brad through the center of the Cranberry Circle. Attach the combo through the Fancy Cuts tag. Attach the tag to the right side of the 1 1/8" x 2 7/8" Bamboo CS, at an angle, slightly overlapping the Polka Dot and Sweet Leaf B&T papers.
Step Ten
Use the piercing tool to make four holes-two vertically about ¼" from the top edge and 3 ¾" from the left edge, through the Polka Dot B&T paper and the Bamboo CS. Make the other two holes vertically about 1 ¼" from the top edge and 1 ¾" from the left edge, through the Bamboo CS and the Sweet Leaf B&T paper. Thread the two 2" Colonial White Waxy Flax strands through the two sets of holes. Tie in a knot to secure. Trim ends.
Step Eleven
Adhere the three Polka Dot squares to the bottom right portion of the layout, about ¾" from the bottom and side edges of the layout.
Step Twelve
Attach the remaining two brads between the three Polka Dot squares.

Assembly Instructions
Step One
Use the sandpaper distressing technique on the two 12" x ½" Cocoa CS and on the two 5" x 5" Cocoa CS.
Step Two
Adhere the two 12" x 2 ¼" Cranberry Stripe B&T papers to the 12" x 12" White Daisy CS vertically along the left and right sides of the layout, flush with edges.
Step Three
Adhere the two 12" x ½" Cocoa CS vertically to the layout, directly beside the two Cranberry Stripe B&T papers.
Step Four
Adhere the 12" x 7" Sweet Leaf B&T paper vertically to the center of the layout, slightly overlapping the two 12" x ½" Cocoa CS.
Step Five
Adhere the two 4" x 4" photos to the center of the 5" x 5" Cocoa CS. Tie one 10" white grosgrain ribbon around the bottom portion of each photo mats Tie in a knot to secure.
Step Six
Adhere the two 5" x 5" photo mats to the center of the 12" x 7" Sweet Leaf B&T paper, spaced evenly.
Step Seven
Adhere the six cut-out circles to the layout-three in the top left portion and three in the bottom right portion, along the seam of the Sweet Leaf B&T paper and the Cocoa CS.
Step Eight
Attach one white brad through the center of each circle.

Assembly Instructions
Step One
Use the sandpaper distressing technique on the 3" x 12" Bamboo CS.
Step Two
Use the scissor distressing technique on the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS and on the 8" x 6" Cocoa CS.
Step Three
Stamp the letters for your title in Cocoa ink on the 3" x 6" Blush B&T paper. (Tip: space the letters enough so you can cut them out with a small border of the Blush B&T paper showing.) Stamp the "&" symbol in Cocoa ink in the center of the cocoa three-ring circle.
Step Four
Use the DTP technique with Cocoa ink on the stamped and cut out Blush B&T paper pieces.
Step Five
Adhere the 9" x 3" Blush Stripe B&T paper with the stripes horizontal, to the left side of the 12" x 12" White Daisy CS, edges flush with the top and left edges.
Step Six
Adhere the 9" x 3" Floral B&T paper directly beside the Blush Stripe B&T paper, edges flush.
Step Seven
Adhere the 9" x 6" Blush B&T paper directly beside the Floral B&T paper at the top of the layout, with the top and right edges flush with the edges of the page.
Step Eight
Adhere the 3" x 12" Bamboo CS horizontally along the bottom of the layout, edges flush.
Step Nine
Adhere the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS to the center of the Bamboo CS.
Step Ten
Adhere the 1" x 12" Blush B&T paper to the center of the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS.
Step Eleven
Adhere the 2" x 2" photo to the center of the 2 ½" x 2 ½" Floral B&T paper. Adhere to the left portion of the Bamboo CS, about 1 ½" from the left edge. Adhere the two small flowers cut out from the Floral B&T paper to the bottom right corner of the photo mat.
Step Twelve
Adhere the 7" x 5" photo to the center of the 8" x 6" Cocoa CS. Adhere to the top portion of the layout, about 1 ¼" from the right edge and ½" from the top edge.
Step Thirteen
Adhere the cut out letters and the cocoa three-ring circle to the top left portion of the layout, staggered and spaced evenly.
Step Fourteen
Use the piercing tool to make 14 holes throughout the letters. (Tip: when you make one hole, be sure to make another hole either ¼" vertically or horizontally from the first hole. You should have a total of seven sets of holes.)
Step Fifteen
Thread the 2" Colonial White Waxy Flax through each set of holes. Tie in a knot to secure. Trim ends.

Assembly Instructions
Step One
Use the scissor distressing technique on the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS and on the two 4" x 6" Cocoa CS.
Step Two
Use the DTP with Blush ink on the large scalloped and small rounded Fancy Cuts tags. Write a journaling item on the small Fancy Cuts tag with the Black Exclusive Inks™ Marker.
Step Three
Adhere the 12" x 6" Floral B&T paper to the left portion of the 12" x 12" White Daisy CS, flush with left and top edges.
Step Four
Adhere the 12" x 4" Blush B&T paper directly beside the Floral B&T paper, flush with edges.
Step Five
Adhere the 12" x 2" Blush Stripe B&T paper directly beside the Blush B&T paper, flush with edges.
Step Six
Adhere the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS horizontally across the top portion of the layout, about ¾" from the top edge.
Step Seven
Adhere the 1" x 12" Blush B&T paper to the center of the 1 ½" x 12" Cocoa CS.
Step Eight
Adhere the 2" x 2" photo to the center of the 2 ½" x 2 ½" Floral B&T paper. Adhere to the right portion of the Cocoa CS, about 1" from the right edge. Adhere the two small flowers cut out from the Floral B&T paper to the bottom left corner of the photo mat.
Step Nine
Attach one white brad through the center of the Blush circle. Fold the 3" white grosgrain ribbon in half and slide the brad through the folded portion. Attach the combo through the hole in the large Fancy Cuts tag.
Step Ten
Adhere the large Fancy Cuts tag to the back side of one of the 4" x 6" Cocoa CS, with about 1 ¼" of the scalloped side showing. Adhere the combo to the layout, about 2 ¾" from the top edge and about 1 ¾" from the left edge. (Option: if you want the tag to be interactive, do not adhere it to the back of the Cocoa CS. Simply adhere the Cocoa CS to the layout as outlined and put adhesive on three of the edges, but not in the center of the CS. This will form a pocket for you to slide the large Fancy Cuts tag in for an interactive element. If you choose this option, you can use the tag as a place for journaling.)
Step Eleven
Adhere the second 4" x 6" Cocoa CS below the first, leaving about ½" of space between the two. Adhere the two 3 ¾" x 5 ¾" photos to the center of both of the 4" x 6" Cocoa CS.
Step Twelve
Adhere the three large flowers cut from the Floral B&T paper vertically along the seam of the Blush B&T paper and the Blush Stripe B&T paper.
Step Thirteen
Attach one white brad through the center of the top and bottom flowers.
Step Fourteen
Attach the remaining white brad through the center of the Cocoa circle. Attach the combo through the hole in the small rounded Fancy Cuts tag. Attach the tag combo through the center of the middle flower.
